Micro and Nano Ring Extensions

Micro ring hair extensions use a technique with small copper rings or tubes to combine strands of natural hair with the hair extension. Also known as micro bead or micro loop extensions, they are a really great choice when it comes to a longer-term hair extension solution. Nano Rings are just a much smaller version of a micro ring , they are suitable for people who like to have their hair braided a lot or for people with very fine hair.

There are a lot of pros to micro ring extensions!

  • The rings don’t damage your natural hair. There is no risk of inadvertently pulling or tearing your own hair like there can be with glue.

  • Another benefit of not using glue or tape is that there is absolutely no risk of allergic reaction. It’s rare, but possible to have an allergy to the adhesives used in these types of extensions. While a dangerous reaction is, again, exceedingly unlikely, some people experience an itchy scalp due to reacting to the glue.

  • If your scalp is sensitive, aside from avoiding adhesives, micro ring extensions don’t require any heat to apply so you can avoid uncomfortable heat rashes or other reactions.

  • A big pro is how secure they are. If they’re installed correctly, there’s virtually no chance of the extensions coming loose, which is more likely to happen with clip-ins.

  • Like other extensions, micro ring extensions come in a wide variety of colours and styles, and can be very affordable.

  • The number of bond used in the hair allows us to use a variety of shades of hair ensuring a more natural finished look.

Cons: most of the cons of micro ring/loop extensions involve your hair type or style.

  • They are usually very discreet and natural looking, but if your hair is extremely short, you might be able to spot the rings.

  • While these extensions are overall safe for your hair, if your natural hair is very weak and prone to breakage, the ring might cause it to break further.
